IT Specialist

Nate Holyoke Builders, a high-end builder specializing in architecturally designed homes, is seeking to add a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of excellence.

This person assists users by answering questions and coordinating resolutions to computer and phone hardware, and software. The IT Support Specialist sets up and onboards new users and supports existing users within the organization, including thorough instruction on use of technology. This person acts as the organization’s liaison between staff and technology vendors, including the managed service provider (MSP). The role will also assist in coordinating training for software programs.

Responsibilities: Includes working closely with staff on strategic IT initiatives, including expanding our network capabilities, mobile device support, data management, and more. You will also contribute to the process as we refine our procedures and policies to help us manage growth.

  • Install, maintain, update, and troubleshoot desktop, printers, computers, and network equipment across all departments within the company
  • Support Microsoft & Google applications and various department-specific applications.
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Document recurring issues and resolutions for efficient handling of future incidents across the team.
  • Administer and maintain back up and disaster recovery images.
  • Restore operating systems, folders, and files as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Work with our 3rd-party IT support vendor as needed to manage patching and AV.
  • Maintain VOIP system and IT associated network

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Windows 7 , Windows 10, and Windows 11.
  • Working knowledge of network equipment with desire to learn details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire for continual improvement.
